Roger’s recent credits, include Lethal Weapon 4, Red Corner and the soon-to-be-released Jackie Chan film “Shanghai Noon.” Roger is an American born Chinese who was raised alternately in Taiwan and New York. Now residing in Los Angeles and Ireland, Roger portray’s the “Shanghai Noon’s” main villain, LO FONG, a rebel former Imperial Guard who arranges for the kidnapping of the Princess (Lucy Liu) and her subsequent delivery to the New Frontier (U.S. circa the Old West). Jackie Chan plays a loyal Imperial Guard who comes to America to rescue the Princess. Owen Wilson, (The Haunting, Anaconda) plays an outlaw who winds up helping Jackie as the two bumble their way across the Old West. The film, directed by Tom Dey and produced by Roger Birnbaum and Jonathan Glickman (for Spyglass Entertainment) is set for a May 26th release. Comments: Hi , in 1974 I studied Viet Vi Dao in La Ciotat - south of France. We did not wear the blue suits of Vietnam. We had black suits and my teacher was master Xuam Pham Tong. I understand his technique varies somewhat from the original. I studied for 4 years and on my return to the Uk had to subdue two thugs outside a pub.This was in the summer of '79 and since then I have only used my skills once.I had to throw an aggressor out of my office. Viet Vo Dao is a hard discipline but extremely efficient once thoroughly learnt. If your teacher offers Saturday morning self defence sessions - GO!

Comments: I hold a 4th degree Black Belt in the Hawaiian freestyle martial art of Ku. My studio is located in San Pedro (San Pedro Hawaiian Fighting Arts). I've been an instructor for more then 20 years and heavly into cage fighting. We teach the Ku system, Kapa Kuialua, as well as stick fighting and knife fighting. I love working with kids. It give me great pleasure to see a child grow in the arts. All of you other instructor understand. If ever in the South Bay please come by and visit.
