What is my job?

As America moves forward in its fight against terrorism, there will be times our neighbors will need our help as well as our support. We're not self-appointed law officers or vigilantes. Our job is to provide a presence on America's streets and in its malls and shopping areas.  We need to give back to the American public that what was taken from all of us on Sept.11, our right to feel safe in our own country. The American people must be made to feel safe again quickly. Business and people's lives must get back to normal before real damage can be done to this country. Americans must begin to travel again, shop the malls, fly and spend as before. Our job is to be seen. Let the police do the police work, all we need to do is be good American citizens that silently watch and if need be then take action when it is called for.

Why must I be 21 years of age to join?

It will not be easy to answer your question. A decision needed to be made as to the age of the applicant.  The age of 21 was chosen because of the look and feel it would give to the organization. In order for America's New Army to be taken seriously and to do the job it is intended to do; a certain maturity level needed to be present. The age of 21 provides us with this perception. However, once this organization is up and running and we are accomplishing what we set out to do, America's New Army will be looking for younger individuals, such as yourself. Sounds like the Guardian Angels.

I have received a few e-mail's telling me that this sounds something similar to the Guardian Angels. Curtis, has done a great job with the Guardian Angels. However, we are not the Guardian Angels. Every individual who submits an application to become a member of ANA is over the age of 21 and must provide three references as to their character.  They must be black belts or higher and be able to provide documentation and a picture of themselves. One more thing, America's New Army does not move around its cities and on its streets in groups. We walk with our families.

Some have asked about the ANA insignia.

The insignia would make the cost of the cap that much more right now. And there will be time to place it on the cap later. I can tell you what it looks like, it is done with black tread on a black cap and is an eagle with wings high and claws out. On the right upper side of the eagle is the word Black Belt and on the left lower side ANA

Why Black on Black?

Because we watch silently. It looks great. However you would need to be very close to see it. And at that point, it would be to late for you to do anything about it.

Why is the ANA number placed on the left side of the cap?

The ANA serial number is placed on the left side of the cap in a bright yellow thread. The reason for the left side of the cap is that in crowded places such as malls, theaters etc., wherever people gather, and where it would make sense for terrorist to strike. There are usually two directions of traffic, and the left side of a person is exposed in each direction, such as walking in a mall or departments store.

Media Coverage. When will we get some?

As for getting the public aware of what we're doing, this will happen in time. I would like to have a few thousand ANA members on the streets first. (And I don't believe this is going to take very long) This way when the news media starts talking about America's New Army to the public and our members are interviewed by the media in different states, I believe America's New Army will start to grow exponentially.
