General Renewal Program
Starting with the premise that every school should be a "Black Belt School," the Renewal obviously takes on significant importance. This area of business is probably neglected more than any other, mostly because there is no established procedure for Renewals other than the fact that the student has finished his first course. As a result, your first step is to recognize that the renewal conferences have to be scheduled on a regularly planned basis.
The Renewal Conference should be scheduled for the "mid-point" of the current course. The worst mistake that could be made is to wait until the end of the program to discuss an additional course.
An extremely significant point is to make sure that "EVERYONE" realizes that there is only one course in the school and that is the "BLACK BELT COURSE." All other programs are simply progress level programs. To enroll a student, for example, on a Red Belt Course is an erroneous approach. The Red Belt Level, after all, is only the half-way point to the ultimate program, which is the BLACK BELT COURSE.
Your choice of words is important; instead of talking about the Red Belt Course or the Brown Belt Course, you should be talking about 1/3 of the Black Belt Program and 1/2 of the Black Belt Program, so that everyone is in agreement that the student is enrolled in a "PORTION OF THE BLACK BELT COURSE." Renewal Procedure A - is rewriting the program.
Any student's unused lessons of the current course shall be included in the new program and/or unpaid tuition will be added to the newly enrolled program. In other words, the total number of lessons to be taken is equal to the unused number of lessons plus the new program and the unpaid amount of old tuition is added to the new tuition. "Kick in the view"- Renewal B - can simply schedule the renewal agreement to kick in at the end of the original program.
An additional down payment or no additional payment may or may not be required in this process. The course of least resistance would be to schedule either a 24 month or 36 month of additional monthly payments. Send it to EFC and kick it in at the right time. Remember, to be "GOAL ORIENTED!" Sometimes the student is limited as to what part of the Black Belt Program he/she can enroll in at the present time because of financial limitations, but the overall objective is always kept in mind.
Put this slogan up at your school!
