All Renewal Candidates Must be APPROVED
All renewal candidates must be approved by the director of the school BEFORE enrolling in any additional program. The reasons for the need of APPROVAL are as follows:
A student should not be considered for additional lessons unless he/she has truly made good progress to date.
A student should be considered only if he/she is genuinely enthusiastic and motivated .
A student should be very supportive of the school.
A student must demonstrate an excellent attitude toward himself/herself, his fellow students and the school.
The student is currently participating in extracurricular activities, tournaments, intramural, etc.
The student has shown that he/she is willing to set new and definite goals in his/her study of martial arts.
The candidate has gotten above average grades on each of his/her belt exams.
The student has a good attendance record.
A candidate must be able to conveniently handle the new budget arrangements.
The student understands why eventually reaching black belt level is important.
These ten very important questions comprise the entire RENEWAL APPROVAL process. EACH of these questions must be answered in a POSITIVE way. One negative response requires that the renewal process be postponed. In contrast to the extension conference, the student should do all the talking in response to the above criteria.
