The Renewal Conference is spread out over two or three weeks, comprised of the intro. preparation followed by the actual Renewal Conference.
It is important to establish the pattern of the Renewal Conference:
What has been accomplished?
What is currently being worked on?
What will be accomplished, (especially in terms of personal growth), by taking the projected program?
Be sure to follow the 12 Magic Renewal Questions, the theory of which is patterned after the 12 Magic Extension Questions. By the proper use of these questions, you will clearly ascertain the student's degree of interest, enthusiasm, desire, and his/her attitude as to going ahead.
In terms of Contract Amount, your Renewal business should be 60% of the total amount and the remaining 40% allocated to extensions. You can see now the significance of the renewal to your overall business, it guarantees your success.
Factors that make for a successful Renewal Program:
Good inspirational lessons.
Clear signs of progress and student character improvement.
Regular attendance and the use of make-up lessons.
Taking exams as scheduled and successfully completing them.
Student is sufficiently encouraged to recognize that with perseverance and practice the Black Belt Level can be achieved.
